Yoel Gilinsky (b. 1954), is a graduate (with honors) of the Department of Art and the Department of Visual Communication at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. Gilinsky later returned to the Bezalel Academy as a lecturer, where he taught for nearly 30 years.
Gilinsky was the recipient of the Sharett Fund Award, as well as a commendation from the Struck Award. He has presented solo exhibitions at the Haifa Art Museum, the Photography Gallery in the Bezalel Academy, the Art Space Gallery in Herzliya and more. Gilinsky has also participated in a variety of group exhibitions, including at the Drawing Biennale in Jerusalem, the Herzliya Museum, the Tel Aviv University Gallery, the ANU Museum of the Jewish People, Ben Gurion University, and the Israel Museum. Internationally, his art has been exhibited in New York and Paris. Gilinsky’s works have been published in various magazines, and are included in the Doron Sebbag collection, the Haifa Contemporary Art Museum collection, the Israel Museum collection (artist book), the Mishkan Museum of Art Ein Harod collection, and more.
