As an artist based in Tel Aviv, my main artistic practice focuses on painting and ceramics. In my artwork, I aim to reflect parts of everyday reality, expressed by a subjective, internal experience. I view the painting medium as a language that I am constantly exploring and developing. My work process includes erasing and layering, creating interaction between shapes, color surfaces and thin lines. Through the painting process, I observe and stretch the boundaries of the medium while exploring different brush strokes and endless pictorial possibilities. Over the past few years, my works have grown more complex. I have gradually neglected the use of imagery in order to deepen a formalist abstract study of the painting medium and focus my artistic work on inner views and thoughts, resembling a visual stream of consciousness. My paintings depict a state of mind, an atmosphere, functioning as “lucid dreams” of everyday life.
