Eyal Sasson graduated with a bachelor’s in art from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and earned a master’s in painting from the Royal College in London.
Sasson is a lecturer on painting in the art department of the Bezalel Academy. He was the winner of the Creative Encouragement Award by Israel’s Ministry of Culture, the America Israel Culture Foundation and the Klor Foundation.
Sasson has presented his works at solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums in both Israel and abroad. His works are featured in several private collections.

My paintings combine a figurative perception of images together with abstraction processes. The painting includes a combination of expressive action and graphic color surfaces. My most recent paintings include processes of construction and destruction of different painting layers, giving an archaeological depth to the works. The expressive strokes of the painting are covered and restrained by layers of masking paint that erase the layers below.
