Adler Kelner


Eyal Adler Kelner (b. 1970, Israel) is an Israeli painter who is a graduate of the Art Department of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem (1996).
Kelner was the recipient of the the Sharett Fund Grant of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, (1998-2000), and the “First Portrait Grant” of the Mifal HaPais Foundation for Art and Culture.
He has held several solo exhibitions at various galleries, including the Kibbutz Gallery, Tel Aviv (2000, 2002), Barbur Gallery, Jerusalem (2011), and the Artists House, Jerusalem (2024).

Over the last three decades, I have focused on figurative and narrative painting using the classic tempera technique. All of my painting are fictional scenes of the artist’s life, with a touch of humor. For example, in some of my works, I added in the historic figure Theodor Herzl as a companion to enrich the scenes.
