It seems the world has gone mad; reality shifts so rapidly that it's nearly impossible to keep up, much less to digest and adapt to it. In our current world, the only certainty is uncertainty, so I have chosen to surrender and dedicate myself to the cause. This project is the result of this existential condition, expressing the improbable and Sisyphean effort of trying to hold this reality together. This ongoing artistic investigation, in which I began in 2014, explores the impact of the digital era on the cultural and aesthetic dimensions of urban landscapes, as well as on the concept of the city itself. The landscapes are fragmented, with the reality held within shattered into tiny pieces, then reattached with great effort by stretched pixels. The aesthetics of the guide are futuristic; despite its digital appearance, it is a completely manual and laborious technique. I take pictures of places with personal or cultural significance, break them into small pieces, and then stretch one pixel at a time, revealing the genetic spectrum of light and color that is characteristic of the location. This approach allows me to reconstruct these locations as calibrated spaces. The viewing experience of these works is based on a dual observation. The first, from a distance, presents an image that is vibrant and glittering like a jewel — a futuristic utopia. The second, from up close, exposes a "bitter truth": the daily grey, shredded reality in which the rules of the game have been broken, relationships severed, and all passersby live their lives on their own separate planes — physical detachment vis-à-vis a physical connection.
