As a multidisciplinary artist, I explore the intersection of figuration and abstraction through multi-layered oil paintings. My practice centers on creating expansive installations composed of numerous small-scale to miniature works, each evolving from a single image. These dense visual environments capture the frenzied energy of my Mediterranean surroundings and reflect the multiplicity of contemporary experience.
My work challenges traditional notions of scale and perception in painting, creating a dialogue between art historical references and the ceaseless flow of digital imagery. By juxtaposing the canonical with the ephemeral, I question the nature of visual language in our rapidly changing world. Autobiographical elements are woven into my pieces, adding personal resonance to broader artistic investigations.
Through this approach, I continue to push the boundaries of contemporary painting, offering viewers a layered experience that resonates with modern life’s complexities while maintaining a connection to artistic traditions. My paintings have gained recognition in top galleries, museums, and prestigious collections, and have been featured in leading publications such as ARTFORUM Magazine.
