Imagine a flood of images;
Imagine a chest, full of drawers; Imagine images jumping into a chest full of drawers;
Imagine images jumping from one drawer to the other, mixing, melting, engaging, disconnecting;
Imagine opened, empty drawers that were once full of images.
My work over the last 20 years, is dialectic research of various systems. Through diverse means of photography, video, and installation, I raise questions pertaining to history, power mechanisms, Western aesthetics and the photographic medium and its boundaries.
Most of my images have an enigmatic sense, bringing into question the ability of an image to tell a story or deliver knowledge. For over two decades I’ve established a complicated syntax, set up as a visual ontology.
