My artistic practice is rooted in an intuitive exploration of the unknown, where I immerse myself in a state of uncertainty to facilitate an organic creative process. This approach is evident in both my paintings and photographs. In my paintings, I investigate the interplay between intention and chance, order and chaos. Beginning with a simple line or point, I allow the composition to evolve organically, guided by intuition and the inherent qualities of the materials. This process is akin to a dance, where the artist and the artwork become intertwined.
My photographic work, primarily focused on reflections in water, extends this exploration into the realm of the ephemeral and the intangible. By capturing the fleeting moments of light and shadow on the surface of water, I document a reality that is both real and illusory. The constant movement of the water creates a dynamic and ever-changing canvas, resulting in images that are both familiar and fantastical. The act of photographing reflections is a meditation on the nature of perception and the passage of time, as I seek to capture the fleeting beauty of a world that is constantly in flux.
Water, as a symbol of the subconscious, time, and cyclical nature, serves as a mirror reflecting both the inner and outer realities. Reflections are not merely passive documentation, but an invitation to explore the boundaries of reality, the relationship between sight and mind. They invite the viewer to reflect upon themselves, to seek their own personal meaning within the images.
My practice seeks to bridge the gap between the objective and the subjective, the tangible and the intangible. Through my exploration of reflections, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and contemplation, inviting viewers to question their own perceptions of reality.
In each of my works, I strive to create a profound connection with the viewer, inviting them to look anew at the world around them. I believe that art is a tool for expanding consciousness, provoking questions, and encouraging dialogue.
