Elon
Ganor

Elon Ganor (b. Geneva, Switzerland) lives and works in Israel. He is a graduate of the Midrasha Art School in Beit Berl College (2008), during which he participated in the artist residency program at the School of Visual Arts, New York (2006).
Ganor was a member of P8 cooperative Art Gallery in Tel Aviv for several years.
Ganor’s works are characterized by inventiveness, such as his “Box” series in which he build wooden boxes through which he photographed, adding a primitive wooden lens placed in front of the camera’s traditional lens. His works have a unique, lyrical aesthetic, though beneath the surface lie profound existential questions, creating a combination of aesthetics and beauty together with fearful, apocalyptic undertones.
Ganor has participated in both group and solo exhibitions, including “Erkling”, Minshar Art Gallery (2011); “Volta 05 Art Fair”, Basel, Switzerland (2009); Fresh Paint , Contemporary Art Fair Tel Aviv (2009); “Wall Street”, the Tavi Dresdner Gallery, Tel Aviv (2008); “Looking in, Looking out: The Window in Art”, the Israel Museum, Jerusalem (2010); “Survival”, the Tavi Dresdner Gallery (2010); and “First 10 Years”, Mofet, Tel Aviv (2010).
His works can be found in a myriad of collections in Israel, the US, London, France, Argentina, and more.

I believe that art should not require a detailed explanation for the viewer, but rather art should “speak for itself”. I hope my works are heard loud and clear.
