Still standing (Sunset)

In this work, there is a person doing a headstand on a standup paddleboard in the sea, or perhaps on a brush stroke, or an abstract painting space. For me, the piece relates to the effort of staying balanced in an unstable world. I practice yoga, which, like painting, is a beautiful combination of body and spirit. Painting, for me, is a magical thing in which the material and the traces of my body on such material can become an image or an idea – something that is beyond the material.
